ABOUT GOLDEN RING ECONOMIC FORUM
GREF is a Strategic Economic Cooperation Policy Research Think-Tank and a Lobbying Group, established in 2015 at Lahore by a group of businessmen, ex-servicemen, former diplomats, industrialists and scholars. It had been registered under the Society’s Act in 2016. GREF is working to enhance strategic economic cooperation between Azerbaijan, CARs, China, Iran, Pakistan, Russia and Turkey, a total of 11 countries called as “GOLDEN RING COUNTRIES” – the “GRCs.” The grouping of these countries has been termed as the “GOLDEN RING”: “GOLDEN”- because over 50% of total human and natural resources of the planet are within these countries and “RING”- because they form a ring type formation in Eurasian Landmass.

To Work Towards And Lobby For The Establishment Of a Regional Strategic Economic Bloc/Group Consisting Of GRCS, Closely Supporting BRI And SCO.

To become a leading strategic economic cooperation policy research think-tank in the region.
OBJECTIVES
- To Work as Regional Strategic Economic Cooperation Policy Research Think-Tank and a Lobbying Group for Pakistan in GRCs.
- To Assist & Develop for Government Guidelines & Policy Frameworks for GRCs Regional Strategic Economic Cooperation: Joint Customs Regime, Barter & Local/Common Currency Based Regional Trade Regime, Banking Mechanisms & Procedures, Standards & Systems for Free Trade .
- To Carry Out Research for Preparing Pakistan for Regional Common Market by Harmonizing Pakistan’s Economic & Trade Policies vis-à-vis Golden Ring Countries.
- To Assist and Guide Chambers and Trade Organizations Regarding Trade Opportunities in the Region & to Facilitate JVs Formation of Pakistani & GRCs Organizations.
- Lobbying for Pakistan Strong Foothold in GRCs & the Region.
- To Act as a Bridge Between Policy Makers and Stakeholders.
- To Work on Developing Long Term Joint Strategic Economic Interests of Member States in Pakistan.
- To Initiate Joint Agriculture, Business, Educational, Industrial and Scientific Advance Research Projects.
- To Assist Government of Pakistan in GRCs As, When & Where Required.
